Nabil Helou is the laureate of the Contemporary Sculpture Award, presented by Macam Museum, at the 5th Visual Art Forum, organized by the Lebanese Artists’ Association – painters and sculptors – LAAPS, an exhibition for Lebanese Contemporary Art, at UNESCO Beirut, from September 29 till October 4, 2014.

At the 14th edition of the Murex d’Or, sculptor Nabil Helou and artist Aline Lahoud took the stage to present the Murex d’Or Trophy to Jad Katrib.
The prestigious ceremony was broadcast live on Future TV, LBC International, and Rotana Music, reaching audiences across the region.

The Murex D’Or is one of Lebanon’s most significant annual award ceremonies, celebrating both regional and international figures whose work has made a meaningful impact in the art industry.
The idea for the award show was conceived by Lebanese brothers Dr. Zahi Helou and Dr. Fadi Helou.
The Murex D’Or trophy itself — a symbol of artistic prestige — is designed and sculpted by Nabil Helou, making him an integral part of this cultural landmark.

Odditorium at Al Bustan Festival
Nabil Helou Sculpture Exhibition at Al Bustan International Festival of Music and the Arts
The Al Bustan International Festival featured a parallel art exhibition titled “Odditorium” by renowned sculptor Nabil Helou. His works were highlighted for their unique fusion between sculpture and painting, offering a multi-dimensional artistic experience to festival attendees.
As quoted by The Daily Star in its January 9, 2014 issue (page 16):
“Another much-loved parallel event at Al-Bustan is the art exhibition. This year’s artist is Nabil Helou, whose work has been described as a ‘fusion between sculpture and painting.’”

Abu Dhabi Contemporary Art Show
ABU DHABI, Mar. 4 – The first episode of the spring 2008 season of Abu Dhabi’s first and only monthly international contemporary exhibition, the Contemporary Art Show of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), is set to start on March 9, 2008 featuring internationally renowned Lebanese sculptor Nabil Helou.
Abdullah Al Amery, Arts and Culture Director, Abu Dhabi Authority of Culture and Heritage (ADACH), premium sponsor of the show, explained that ADACH is keen on sponsoring and supporting important cultural activities that present creative Arab artists of international standard and is supportive of exhibitions taking place in the capital that present the work of such artists.
